“Let thy food be your medicine and your medicine be thy food.” Inspired by Hippocrates and Paracelsus, Dr. Gerson based the foundations of his therapy on juicing and coffee enemas but equally paramount to the success of the therapy is the meals that must be prepared three times per day. Having lived with Dr. Gerson´s daughter, Charlotte, for two months at her home and studying Dr. Gerson´s handwritten files she has kept in her garage since his death in 1959, it became very clear to me that part of Dr. Gerson´s incredible genius lied within his understanding of what foods cancer patients can and cannot eat to get them well. Foods we would think are helpful, like avocados, mushrooms, pineapple, strawberries, nuts, seeds, etc…, are actually harmful for advanced cancer patients.
The incredible healing power of the Gerson Therapy, here at Northern Baja Gerson Center, lies in the massive amounts of pure, organic, vegetarian nutrition our patients receive on a daily basis. This Natural Cancer Therapy requires 20 lbs of organic fruits and vegetables every day in the form of juices and delicious, freshly-prepared meals. We have the privilege of having incredibly gifted and creative cooks who prepare the most creativeand mouth-watering meals you can make with nothing but fruits and vegetables.
Through 50 years of clinical experimentation Gerson unlocked secrets that nobody has been able to understand when fighting this dreadful disease. Therefore, we would like to introduce you to some samples of our secret recipes created by our cooks in our kitchen at NORTHERN BAJA GERSON CENTER with the intent of showing how important the kitchen was in Gerson´s incredibly powerful therapy and to inspire you, the reader, to create your own special recipes and combinations. All the recipes are prepared on a regular basis at our facility and served to our patients. Quite often, patients will even return simply for a vacation because that absolutely loved the food our cooks prepared. Eating to become healthy does NOT have to be a burden. It actually can be a delicious and savory experience so enjoy and BON APPETITE!
